Shipment Management

Ship picked orders to customers. Shipping in Alpha is part of the picklist workflow: every picklist carries its own shipment details, and there is no separate shipments module.

Creating Shipments

From a Picklist

After picking and checking are complete, the picklist enters the Packing stage:

  1. Open the picklist under Orders > Picklists
  2. Click Generate label — this creates the shipment record with the warehouse and destination addresses pre-filled
  3. Fill in the shipping label details and print the label
  4. Mark the picklist Ready for Dispatch
  5. Dispatch with tracking information

Shipments cannot be created directly from a sales order. Confirming an order reserves stock and generates a picklist; the picklist is then picked, packed, and dispatched.

Carrier Tracking

Tracking is entered manually:

  1. Select the courier while packing
  2. Enter the tracking number and tracking URL at dispatch
  3. The tracking URL is shown as a link on the picklist

Shipment Documents

Documents are generated as PDFs from the picklist:

  • Items and quantities in the shipment
  • No pricing shown

QR Label

  • Picklist reference with QR code for scanning

Delivery Confirmation

When the shipment arrives:

  1. Open the dispatched picklist
  2. Mark it as Delivered (optionally with the delivery date)
  3. When all products of the order are delivered, the order is completed

Returns

For returned shipments:

  1. Open the related sales order
  2. Start a return for the dispatched picklist, selecting the returned items
  3. Picklist status moves through Return Started, Partially Returned, and Returned as items come back
