Dashboard Overview
Understanding the Alpha home dashboard
Dashboard Overview
The home dashboard (/dashboard) is your personal landing page. It shows a greeting, your tasks and calendar, recent notifications, your favorite pages, recent product updates, and the modules active in your organization.
Layout
The Home view renders the following widgets, top to bottom:
| Widget | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Greeting | Time-of-day greeting with your name |
| My Tasks | Up to 5 open tasks assigned to you |
| Calendar | Today's schedule, or your next upcoming events |
| Notifications | Your 5 most recent notifications |
| Favorites | Quick links to pages you starred |
| Recent Updates | Changelog entries from the latest releases |
| Active Modules | Badges for the modules enabled in your organization |
See Dashboard Widgets for details on each widget.
Inventory Tab
When the Inventory module is enabled for your organization, the dashboard gains two tabs: Home and Inventory. The Inventory tab shows:
- Total Stock Value — total inventory valuation
- Expiring Soon — count of items nearing expiration (links to the Stock report)
- Stock Sites — number of stock sites with inventory
- Inventory Overview — stock value per site
Data can be filtered by subsidiary, stock site, and storage type using the filter bar.
Visibility
Widgets appear based on your organization's modules and your permissions:
- My Tasks requires the Tasks module and the
READ_TASKSpermission - Calendar requires the Calendar module and the
READ_CALENDARpermission - Recent Updates only shows when changelog data is available
- Active Modules reflects the modules enabled for your organization
There is no widget customization beyond editing your favorites — the layout is fixed.
