Funnel Exclusions

Manually exclude email addresses from funnel reminder emails such as the brochure funnel

Funnel Exclusions

Funnels like the brochure funnel send a sequence of follow-up (reminder) emails after someone submits a form. Sometimes a recipient asks to stop receiving these; for example, they reply to reminder 3 saying they are no longer interested. The exclusions list lets you stop those emails for a specific address without waiting for them to click the unsubscribe link.

How it works

An excluded address is added to the tenant-wide opt-out list. From that point on, the reminder scheduler skips that address for every funnel (brochure, booking, and any other reminder-driven email) regardless of casing.

Two things can add an address to this list:

  • Manual: you add it from the exclusions screen (described below).
  • Unsubscribed via link: the recipient clicked the unsubscribe link in a funnel email.

Both appear in the same list, tagged by Source so you can tell them apart.

Exclusions only affect automated funnel/reminder emails. They do not block one-off manual emails or transactional messages (e.g. an invoice or appointment confirmation).

Excluding an address

  1. Navigate to Settings > Tenant > Funnels and open the Exclusions tab.
  2. Type the email address and click Exclude.
  3. The address immediately stops receiving funnel reminders.

Re-adding an address that is already excluded is harmless; it stays excluded.

Re-enabling an address

Click the trash icon next to an address to remove it from the list. Funnel reminders to that address resume from the next scheduled send.

Existing automatic exclusions

A recipient is also dropped from the brochure funnel automatically when they book an advice meeting (an active booking). That behaviour is separate from this list; booking-based exclusion is driven by the booking status, while this list is the manual/unsubscribe opt-out.
