Revit add-in

The Alpha Revit add-in is an Autodesk Revit plugin that BIM modellers and type maintainers use to export model groups (GLB, RVT, PNG) from a Revit document and upload them to Alpha — either to a type's shared product catalogue or to a specific project's overrides.

After installing the add-in, you'll see an Alpha ribbon tab in Revit with four panels:

  • Preferences — settings, log console, settings file shortcut
  • Export — the three export commands (covered in Export workflow)
  • Configure — open the standalone configurator dialogs
  • Tools — diagnostics (Health Check, Missing Coverage), name fixers (Rename Group, Rename from Clipboard), and bulk re-upload
