Completing your purchase

Checkout Process

Complete your purchase in four steps: Account → Shipping → Payment → Confirmation.

Checkout Steps

Step 1: Account

Checkout requires an account:

  • Sign in with your email and password, or
  • Create an account (first name, last name, email) — a verification email is sent before you can sign in

Signed-in users have their name, email, and saved delivery address prefilled.

Step 2: Shipping Details

Enter delivery details:

FieldRequired
First nameYes
Last nameYes
EmailYes
PhoneNo
StreetYes
House numberNo
Postal codeYes
CityYes
CountryYes

Two helpers speed this up:

  • Address search — start typing to look up your address and auto-fill all fields
  • Auto-fill address (PostNL) — with a postal code and house number entered, fills in the street and city via PostNL address validation

Your details are remembered in the browser for the next checkout.

Step 3: Payment Method

Select one of the payment methods the shop has enabled:

MethodTransaction fee shown
Invoice (Factuur)None
iDEAL€0.29 + 1.5%
Credit Card3.5%
Bancontact€0.29 + 1.5%
PayPal€0.35 + 4%

Which methods are available is configured per shop; Invoice is the default. If only one method is enabled, it is selected automatically.

There is no online payment processing during checkout — the selected method is recorded on the order, and payment is settled afterwards (e.g. via the invoice attached to the order).

Step 4: Confirmation

Click Place Order to submit. The order is created, your cart is cleared, and a confirmation screen appears. The order then shows up under Orders.

Shipping Costs

Shipping uses a flat rate configured per shop:

  • A single PostNL standard flat rate applies to the whole order
  • Orders above the shop's free-shipping threshold ship for free (when configured)
  • The order summary in the cart and at checkout shows the shipping line and total

Order Summary

A summary panel stays visible throughout checkout:

  • Each cart item with quantity and line total
  • Subtotal
  • Shipping (or Free)
  • Total

Terms and Policies

If the shop has configured them, the shipping step shows expandable Terms and Conditions and Return Policy sections.
