Password Reset
Forgot your password? Follow this guide to reset it and regain access.
Reset Process Overview
Step-by-Step Reset
Step 1: Access Reset Page
- Go to your organization's login page
- Click Forgot Password? below the sign-in form
- Or navigate directly to
/forgot-password
Step 2: Enter Email
- Enter the email address associated with your account
- Click Send Reset Link
- You'll see a confirmation message
For security, the same message appears whether or not the email exists in the system.
Step 3: Check Email
- Open your email inbox
- Look for email from Alpha Platform
- Subject: "Reset your Alpha Platform password"
- Check spam/junk folder if not found
Step 4: Click Reset Link
- Open the email
- Click Reset Password
- Link opens in your browser
- You'll see the new password form
Step 5: Create New Password
Enter your new password meeting these requirements:

| Lowercase | 1 character |
| Number | 1 digit |
| Special character | 1 symbol |
- Enter new password
- Confirm by entering again
- Click Reset Password
Step 6: Sign In
- You'll see a success message
- Click Sign In
- Use your new password
- Access is restored
Reset Link Details

Reset links expire after 1 hour. Request a new one if expired.
Troubleshooting
Email Not Received
If you don't receive the reset email:
- Wait a few minutes - Delivery may be delayed
- Check spam folder - May be filtered
- Verify email - Ensure correct spelling
- Try again - Request another reset
- Contact admin - Email may be blocked
Link Expired
If the reset link has expired:
- Return to the login page
- Click Forgot Password? again
- Request a new reset link
- Use it within 1 hour
Link Already Used
Each reset link works once only:
- If you already reset, try signing in
- If reset failed, request new link
- Don't reuse old email links
Invalid Password Error
If your new password is rejected:
- Ensure it meets all requirements
- Avoid common passwords
- Don't reuse recent passwords
- Try a longer, more complex password
Account Locked
If account remains locked after reset:
- Wait 15 minutes
- Try signing in again
- If still locked, contact administrator
Security Recommendations
After Resetting
- Sign out other sessions - Go to Profile > Security > Sessions
- Review account activity - Check for unauthorized access
- Enable passkey - More secure than passwords
- Update password manager - Store new password securely
If You Didn't Request Reset
If you received a reset email but didn't request it:
- Do not click the link
- Check your account - Sign in with current password
- Review activity - Look for suspicious access
- Change password - If concerned about security
- Report to admin - May indicate attempted breach
Alternative Recovery
If password reset isn't working:
Use Alternative Sign-In
- Magic Link - If enabled, sign in via email link
- OAuth - If linked, use Google sign-in
- Passkey - If registered, use biometric
Contact Administrator
If no alternatives work:
- Contact your system administrator
- Provide verification of identity
- Admin can reset password directly
- Admin can send new invitation
