Sign In

The traditional email and password method for accessing Alpha Platform.

Overview

Email/password authentication is the default method available to all users. It provides:

Familiar login experience
Works on all devices and browsers
No external dependencies

Go to your organization's Alpha Platform URL
Click Sign In if not already on the login page

Step 2: Enter Credentials

Enter your email address
Enter your password
Click Sign In

Step 3: Access Dashboard

Upon successful authentication:

You'll be redirected to the dashboard
Your last accessed page may be restored
Recent activity is logged

Password Requirements

Passwords must meet these requirements:

Requirement	Minimum
Length	8 characters
Uppercase	1 character
Lowercase	1 character
Number	1 digit
Special character	1 symbol

Your organization may enforce additional password policies.

Remember Me

The "Remember me" option:

Extends session duration to 30 days
Stores a secure cookie on your device
Should not be used on shared computers

Troubleshooting

Invalid Credentials

If you see "Invalid email or password":

Verify email is spelled correctly
Check for caps lock on password
Try password reset if forgotten
Contact administrator if issues persist

Account Locked

After multiple failed attempts:

Account is temporarily locked
Wait 15 minutes before retrying
Or use password reset to unlock
Contact administrator if persistent

Session Expired

If redirected to login unexpectedly:

Session may have timed out
Log in again to continue
Work in progress may be lost

Always save your work regularly to prevent data loss from session expiration.

Security Recommendations

Strong Passwords

Create strong passwords by:

Using a password manager
Never reusing passwords
Avoiding personal information
Using passphrases (e.g., "correct-horse-battery-staple")

Alternative Methods

Consider upgrading to more secure methods:

Passkey - Most secure, no password to remember
OAuth - Use your organization's identity provider
Magic Link - Passwordless convenience
