Accepting team invitations and setting up your Alpha account

Accepting Team Invitations

When invited to Alpha Platform, follow this guide to set up your account.

Invitation Process

Step-by-Step Account Setup

Step 1: Receive Invitation

You'll receive an email with:

  • Subject: "You've been invited to Alpha Platform"
  • Sender: Your organization's Alpha admin
  • Link: Invitation acceptance link

Invitations are valid for 7 days. Contact your admin if expired.

  1. Open the invitation email
  2. Click Accept Invitation or the invitation link
  3. You'll be taken to the setup page

Step 3: Complete Your Profile

Fill in your account details:

Step 4: Create Password

Create a strong password:

  1. Enter password
  2. Confirm password
  3. Passwords must match

Step 5: Accept Terms

  1. Read Terms of Service (link provided)
  2. Read Privacy Policy (link provided)
  3. Check the acceptance box
  4. Click Create Account

Step 6: Access Your Account

Upon completion:

  • Account is activated
  • You're automatically signed in
  • Dashboard loads with role-appropriate content

Setting Up Security

After accepting your invitation:

  1. Set up a passkey (highly recommended)

    • Go to Profile > Security
    • Add passkey for your device
  2. Link OAuth (optional)

    • Connect Google account
    • Enables single sign-on
  3. Review profile

    • Check assigned role
    • Verify subsidiary access

Invitation Types

Standard Employee Invitation

  • Sent by administrator
  • Pre-assigned role and permissions
  • Immediate access upon setup

Buyer Invitation (Construction)

  • Linked to specific project
  • Access to configurator
  • Limited to buyer functions

Shop Customer Invitation

  • E-commerce access
  • Order history and tracking
  • Shopping cart features

Troubleshooting

Invitations expire after 7 days:

  1. Contact your administrator
  2. Request a new invitation
  3. Check spam folder for recent invite

"Invalid Invitation" Error

This can occur when:

  1. Link already used - Account may exist, try signing in
  2. Link expired - Request new invitation
  3. Link corrupted - Request new invitation

Email Not Received

If you don't see the invitation:

  1. Check spam/junk folder
  2. Search for "Alpha" or sender name
  3. Verify correct email was used
  4. Contact administrator to resend

Can't Complete Setup

If form submission fails:

  1. Check required fields - All must be filled
  2. Password requirements - Ensure complexity met
  3. Passwords match - Re-enter to confirm
  4. Terms accepted - Checkbox must be checked
  5. Try different browser - May be compatibility issue

After Account Setup

First Time Sign-In Tips

  1. Bookmark the login page for easy access
  2. Explore the dashboard to understand layout
  3. Check assigned role in Profile
  4. Review available modules in navigation

Getting Help

  • Read role-specific User Guides
  • Contact your administrator for access issues
  • Use in-app help where available

Changing Your Details Later

After setup, you can modify:

For Administrators

Sending Invitations

  1. Go to Administration > Users
  2. Click Invite User
  3. Enter email address
  4. Assign role
  5. Select subsidiary access
  6. Send invitation

Managing Invitations

View and manage pending invitations:

  • See pending invitations list
  • Resend expired invitations
  • Revoke invitations if needed
  • Track acceptance status
