Estimates

Viewing estimates through the client portal and accepting them via a signing link

Portal Estimates

Clients can view all estimates shared with them in the portal. Accepting or rejecting an estimate happens through a separate public signing link (sent by email), not from the authenticated portal itself.

Estimate List

The estimates page shows all estimates associated with the client:

ColumnDescription
Estimate NumberUnique identifier
DateWhen the estimate was created
Valid UntilExpiry date of the estimate, if set
StatusCurrent status (Draft, Sent, Accepted, Rejected, Expired, ...)
TotalTotal estimated value

Click on any estimate to view its full details.

Estimate Detail

The detail view in the portal is read-only and displays:

  • Line items — description, quantity, unit price, tax rate, and totals for each item
  • Subtotal, tax, and total — financial summary
  • Validity — the valid-until date, with an expired indicator when the date has passed
  • Status — the current estimate status

Accepting and Rejecting

Estimates are accepted or rejected through a tokenized public link, separate from the portal login. When your team sends an estimate, the client receives a link to a public signing page where they can:

  1. Review the estimate contents and download the PDF
  2. Accept the estimate by entering their name and drawing a signature
  3. Or reject the estimate, optionally providing a reason

Only estimates in SENT status that have not expired can be accepted or rejected. On acceptance:

  • The estimate status changes to ACCEPTED, with the signer's name, timestamp, and signature image recorded
  • The linked opportunity is marked as accepted and the client's CRM status is updated

Rejected estimates remain visible in the portal list for reference, marked with the REJECTED status and the rejection reason.
