Order Fulfillment

Fulfillment is the process of picking, packing, and shipping orders.

Picking

Picklist Creation

Picklists group items to pick:

  1. Go to ERP > Logistics > Picklists
  2. Click Create Picklist
  3. Select orders to include
  4. Generate picklist

Picking Methods

Pick Process

  1. Assign picker to picklist
  2. Navigate to locations
  3. Pick items, verify quantities
  4. Scan or confirm picks
  5. Complete picklist

Handling Shortages

If unable to pick full quantity:

  1. Pick available amount
  2. Mark remainder as short
  3. System updates order
  4. Back-order or substitute

Packing

Packing Stations

Consolidate picked items:

  1. Bring picks to packing area
  2. Verify against order
  3. Select packaging
  4. Pack items securely

Packing Slip

Generate packing slip:

  1. List items in package
  2. Include order reference
  3. Add to package

Shipping

Creating Shipments

  1. Go to order or picklist
  2. Click Create Shipment
  3. Enter shipping details:
    • Carrier
    • Service level
    • Tracking number
    • Ship date

Carrier Integration

If integrated with carriers:

  1. Select carrier
  2. Get shipping rates
  3. Print label
  4. Tracking auto-populated

Ship Confirmation

  1. All packages created
  2. Click Confirm Shipment
  3. Stock deducted
  4. Order status updated

Partial Shipments

Splitting Orders

Ship available items first:

  1. Create shipment with available items
  2. Order status: Partially Shipped
  3. Remaining items await stock
  4. Ship when available

Customer Communication

Notify customers:

  • Partial shipment notification
  • Expected completion date
  • Tracking information

  • Orders awaiting picking

Returns

Processing Returns

When items returned:

  1. Receive returned goods
  2. Inspect condition
  3. Create return transaction
  4. Issue credit or replacement

Return to Inventory

Good condition items:

  1. Inspect quality
  2. Restock to inventory
  3. Make available for sale
